If you’re someone who loves turning concepts into visual masterpieces, especially when it comes to designing sets for photography and film, then you’re in the right place! We’re looking for a stylist who can transform any scene into an eye-catching work of art. If you thrive on creating stunning environments that make every product, dish, or moment shine, then we want you to join our talented Hippo team!

 

As a stylist, you’ll collaborate closely with our photographers, directors, and other creatives to bring each project to life. From food photography and campaign shoots to TV and online commercials, as well as CG-generated interior renders, you’ll be responsible for crafting the perfect atmosphere, both on set and on location.

 

You’ll play a key role in the conceptual side too, developing mood boards and helping shape the visual style for each campaign. Whether you’re working on a packshot, food shoot, or product video, your attention to detail will ensure every element is just right.

Here’s a not-so-boring list of what we think you should have / know / own / love:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a set dresser or interior stylist, because we need someone who’s done this before.
  • A degree in film, photography, or interior styling—you’ve got the education to back up your skills.
  • A valid driver’s license, because sometimes the perfect prop shop isn’t next door.
  • Keeping up with the latest design and fashion trends should come naturally to you.
  • It helps if you can handle deadlines, overly demanding creative directors and stressed out producers breathing down your neck.
  • Teamwork makes the dream work, and you’re definitely a team player.
  • Experience with commercial film or photography styling projects—you know the drill.
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English—communicating with clients and crew is key.
  • While experience with food styling isn’t required, a passion for food is essential, as this will be one of the skills you’ll develop in the role.

Here’s something to sweeten the pot: We believe in rewarding talent and hard work. That’s why for this role, we offer a competitive salary ranging between €2,400 and €2,800, dependent on your experience and skill. It’s our way of saying we value what you bring to our creative table.
